Olympic Water Polo Tickets

Water polo is a team water sport with two teams of swimmers each of which tries to pass a ball into the opponent goal and a point is scored when the ball completely crosses the goal line of opposing team's goal. Water polo is a hasty moving sport that involves swimming, treading water and ball-handling. It can’t be considered as that fastest swimmers are best players, the best players are considered  who know how to play and always know where the ball is and what to do if it comes near them.

Water polo Sport played in a swimming pool and the total numbers of players which can participate in water polo are seven out of them six are field players and one is goalkeeper. A goalkeeper is also termed as goaltender, goalie, or keeper in some sports is a designated player charged with directly preventing the opposing team from scoring by intercepting shots at goal. Only goalkeeper can touch or handle ball with both hand and filed players can touch or play only using single hand during game.

Field players of visiting team used numbered and usually white caps and field players of home team usually used Blue caps but now they are also allowed contrasting colors and goalkeepers of both teams used red caps which are numbered as "1". Substitute players of both teams can play while the ball is in their possession. Players can enter and exit in the corner of the pool or in front of their goal during game play session, when playing session is end then players may enter or exit anywhere in field area.

The team which has maximum numbers of points at the end of game is considered as winner team. If both teams have equal number of points then it declared as tie game then there are two overtime periods each period has three minutes limit if at the end of overtime periods it is still a tie game then a shoot-out is held in which five players from each team are selected to shoot for the goal. If there is still a tie, then the same 5 shoot again until one misses and the other scores a goal.

In the 1870s Water polo was time introduced in England after that it was played by club teams and became popular in the United. The first Men  water polo team sports were introduced at the modern Olympic Games in 1900 and first Women's water polo was included at Sydney Olympic Games in 2000 after political protests from the Australian women's team. The most famous water polo match in history is probably the semi-final match between Hungary and the Soviet Union in 1956, Summer Olympics games.
